Hey I got a 22mm Mikuni on one of my 110s well all of em but my question is just off idle it will surge or hiccup a bit its not a smooth steady run just wondering what that would be if anyone knows can't figure out why for a couple of days

Pull the plug and read it...the plug will tell you why...Its most likely from thick humid air and too much jetting ,,a/f screw setting or c-clip setting................
Ya its prob from the high humidity here but it's only on my stock 18 with just cdi super coil and uni filter I tried adjusting the needle and from top to bottom notch and all in between no difference still choppy and not smooth just off idle like if I was in 4th at 25 mph my other bikes are fine tho
But one thing I did notice and I don't have any of my other bikes here is when I was changing the needle clip height I noticed the needle itself was kinda jiggily so to speak it had up and down movement and when you look inside where the clip sits there is nothing keeping pressure on it the retainer clip is there but it does not touch the needle cuz the needles sits in a small pocket and I found a small washer and ground got down to fit in the valley and now the needle does not move but actually seems a bit worse when i bring this one back to the others I'll take a look at one of my other carbs but that prob won't be till Thursday

Might be in need of a valve adjustment from all the punishment youre putting on it or the valves just needs adjusting as regular service......The engine has to be dead stone cold to do the valve adjustment properly....
Ya I was just thinking that I'll let it sit and try that in the morn thanks now that I Think about it I don't recall ever doing the valves on this one ha that's prob it and this one don't get punished much lol its the one I got for the wify and now she wants a auto so I just use it to ride around with the kids
There not on it just around the neighborhood when there on there bikes or powerwheels or electric scooters type stuff so 70% of the time I ride it just off idle that's the only reason why why its really bugging me cuz I took this one home for the weekend thanks again tho
the off idle adjustment is the air/fuel screw, i had to do my 22mm mikuni cuz at take off i had to give it alot more gas than needed, i turned it richer, counterclockwise i think, a whole turn and tested it, if it doesnt get any better after a turn put it back and go a turn the other way
it sucks to turn and ride test but thats how ya do it, and i dont know how your carb is but mine had the a/f screw on the bottom of the carb recessed up, i got a pic,the bowl is off but you dont need to take it off, you need a eyeglass screwdriver to turn it on the bike
i kept my needle clip at the second to the tip spot, richer is safer

That's exactly where I got my clip as well and I was hopping I didn't have to do that cuz I need to remove my carb just to get to it cuz the Intake i got puts the bowl 1/4 over the cam cover i think I'll order one of those quick adjusts and put it one when i take the carb off and check/adjust my cams as well i think it's just because of the crazy humidity theme past two days making it like this its been fine but i know i have not done the cam adjustments on this one yet so i might as well do it all at once rather than 3 times
.005 intake, .007 ex
thanks just saved me from looking it up lol
:D np, that is what i use, you may hear different numbers but close, as long as the ex is a tad more gap
when its done you should feel a tink tink in the rocker if you up down it
i had a adj nut come off inside my race head and it ruined the valves, so make sure they is tight
