I have a mini pocket bike that wont start!
i have taken it in quite a few times and the first time the carb was all dirty so that got cleaned. The second time i took it in it didnt have a spark and that got fixed. Now after all that it still wont start, i have adjusted the carb screw, cleaned the carb and it still wont start! I am on my 3rd pull start all the springs for them have kept coming out and i have fixed them. After everything i have done (above) still doesnt work the spark is good, fuel runs through... Can anyone help please.:(

Its an air cooled chinese Mitsubishi fastlane mini pocket bike if i am correct!

Sound like you need to talk to StrayDawg63 or Cam2 or Nick, think they could help you. Have you tried putting gas in the carb or down the plug hole and try to start it?? That is suppose to be a Good engine, but I know little about them.

Yes, If there is a fuel delivery problem, it will start up and die if you put gas in the spark plug hole, replace it and try to start it. First start at the carb, and put fuel then try the plug hole. Check you plug while its out, I always clean & check the gap first. .025-.030"

Man, your in England. I was talking to a guy on here from there, and there is a store in England online that has real good prices, can't remember, might have put it in my favorites on Win.XP.
I will PM you w/ a few sites that ship international.

I am not sure what kind of carb you have there are so many different engines & carbs and such, without seeing it its hard to tell what to do.
Does it have a piston carb, or a Walbro pumper carb w/ 2 lines to the gas tank?? What does the engine look like?? Did it start on its own or did you prime it??

It would really help if you posted up a picture of the bike in question. Just saying, "I have a pocketbike, help me with it" without a picture on this forum is kinda like saying, "I saw a woman shopping at Walmart, do you know her?" (Oh, wait, it's Woolworth's over there, isn't it? Anyway ....) Since there are about a hundred different styles and manufacturers of pocketbikes, we could be here for quite a while trying to figure out which one you have. A picture helps us to identify the bike more easily, and thus leading to more specific information on your particular bike.

You can get a free account over at PhotoBucket. Upload your pictures there, copy and paste the links to the images here.

Check for compression take spark plug out of where it goes and you put your index finger over the hole where the spark plug goes and tried to start it crank it Kickstart it whatever and when it goes to crank you'll feel your finger getting sucked in to the spark plug hole no compression when you have a bad seal somewhere the carburetor problem after that take off the fuel line get yourself a can of starting fluid and give it a few sprays and try to turn it over if you have compression and you have spark with the carb starting fluid you will get your engine started for just a second if it starts for just a second that's when you go okay so it has to be my curb go through and clean out your carb or by another one which case usually the best way to clean out a carb is to manually clean the tips and needles and your you know just take it all apart that you can make sure you check where the float valve is for the for the needle the shut-off needle which will be right attached to the plastic float and sometimes junk and I'm like little layer of rust can build up around the tip of your needle that is on your float clean off and it usually helping out a lot sometimes I didn't take apart your car but you just drain your carb of all the fluid and you flip it upside down and you try to blow into the fuel line and if you cannot blow into your fuel line then you're getting a good seal from the carburetor float so if you're not getting good still from the carburetor float it will not start love you have a good seal with the carburetor floating needle and other stuff you had just take out the other needles and the other Jets do not stick anything bigger than a singular wire brush wire through the holes anything bigger and you risk messing up the Jets and the needles and you just put it all back together not super tight just nice and snug put it on there and kick her over if it works for a second but then as you hook the fuel line up to it it quits working then you have rust in your gas tank and you need to flush the bottom of your tank out you can email me if you still have problems with it shoot me a picture my email is all lowercase all one word Scott Ben Faulkner Junior @gmail.com you can send me a picture and we can figure it out even warned up as I said I have been working on these little stinkers for about I don't know about the better part of five six years now exclusively I will stick a two-stroke or four-stroke engine on anything almost put it on a unicycle just for giggles
