So first off hello everyone I'm really excited to be a part of this community now! My sister was a bad *** this year and bought me my first pocket bike for christmas :) Its the Blade that you can buy off of minipocketrockets.com, I was wondering is this just a typical CAG? Also i somehow lost the gas cap... Is there a cheap replacement i can use?

Here is my bike (i took off the silver frame covering it looked bad IMO)

One of the Newer Cags! Thanks to the EPA it has some restrictons on it.. The muffler, the carb might be un un adjustable and I think it has stop in the throttle housing so it can't pull all the way.. The Frame is a little weaker than they used to be
also but you if you really want to go crazy on the thing all this cam be fixed... Start With Cam2's awesome thread here: http://www.pocketbikeplanet.com/showthread.php?t=79905

Muffler, Better HP carb, hp airfilter and rocket key come first... ;) Oh ya, Tighten and use Blue Locktite on all the bolts...

Have fun!
Thanks for showing me that thread! Oh and I have also have had a problem with the idle and starting. I have to start it with the throttle turned a little and also to make the bike idle. Sometimes it will idle without the throttle moved a little but usually it will just die if i release the throttle.
Its cold and the needle in the carb slide needs to be lowered so the engine gets more gas.. You need to follow the thottle cable and unscrew the cap it goes into. If its tight its a 14mm open end wrench. when you pull that slide out of the carb there will be a spring, slide, washer in the center with the needle in the middle and cable holding it together.. Carefully get that cable out and notice how it all goes back together. Get to that needle and it will have a little clip on it in one of 5 grooves.. Very carefully remove that clip and put it on the bottom or next up Slot.. This will raise the needle to give it more gas.. You will most likely have to move that clip up when it gets warmer again.. Dont forget to use premised gas.. 25:1 for a tank or two and then go to 32:1 or 40:1 after you break it in... If you do... lol

Thanks for the in depth explanation! Yeah haha i've been breaking it in, rode it honestly for like 4 hours straight the day after christmas, already been through 2 tanks. Sadly laid it down and scrapped myself up pretty good lol, but damage wasn't bad. Thinking about painting it soon anyways. This last question might be better for a different topic, but how much more fun is an x18-r compared to the little CAG i got? i was looking into those and i wanna save up a couple hundred bucks and try and go get one for like 300ish in houston.
HAHA! They are just as fun.. I just found myself liking the little ones alittle more for the torque and speed they put out.. The X series are just a little heavy and quite frankly I just didn't feel as safe on them once we started to get them to go faster than they should.. But I never did ride one with the good tires... Its whatever tickles your fancy really.... I'm sure there are many here that like the bigger ones better.. I'll race em on my 50 BMS... ;)
