new carb problems

okay so i recently purchased this carb http://www.amazon.com/47cc-49cc-Poc...UTF8&qid=1344554906&sr=8-3&keywords=47cc+carb for my 47cc cag and it seems like the throttle cable is a tiny bit too short. Does anyone else here with a cag have this carb? Am I doing something wrong?

Mind taking a picture of where your throttle hooks to the little screw? it'll help out tremendously. How much is it too short?

I recently got the wt603 I think it is and had to slightly mod the bar, I'll snap a pic of it to demonstrate. Be creative, worst comes to worst you get a longer one
It's pretty easy to adjust the throttle cable ,post pics
Sometimes on a cable you have to take some of the outside cover off to make the inside cable longer. There is a liner inside, I grind it down on the edge near the end, carefully, then cut the piece off with cutters. First make sure any adjusters on the cable are all the way in, make sure the throttle on the handle bar is backed off all the way. On a Good kit they give a cable that fits, better off on eBay motors or look for good deals at online parts dealers. Alot on eBay, ship air mail direct from China.

If you get everything tight it looks like it might work. Loosen or tighten the hand nut on the throttle on the hanle bars (which ever lengthens the cable) and make sure each end is sitting in the groove, and try again..

If not try what EPR suggested, but if its not necessary you dont gotta.

Good luck my friend
Take the throttle cable off the handle grip end, put the other end on the carb piston, then hook the cable back to the throttle and see if it's too short.

I loosened the nut, i tightened it, i even tried taking it off. Still too short.

Tried it, didnt work
Also, is it normal that i should have to loop the cable around like this?

No, that is not normal
Well than what the hell is wrong lol because if I don't do that, the throttle cable just slips out
Once hooked to the carb it should not slide out.

There should also be what i call the 'support' bar..

Which is wht the cable slides into and its the stopping point.

I will demonstrate

now i had to cut my spring and i also had to flip my support bar around. Ill demonstrate that on my build thread and link you
How come ur carb is upside down?
Is it supposed to be mounted like that
Yessir, I'm almost 100% certain that the walbro pumpers are supposed to be mounted pumper right side up
Ooh ok ,I was just makin sure I'm used to the stock carbs Lol
