Hello folks, new guy here. I just picked up an RSR from a local buyer.

It needs some work, but I figured I'm up for the challenge. Part identification has been harder than I thought.

So far ive taken it down a bit and found that it needs a new gas tank, new pull-start, right peg, and carburetor gaskets?

I am 95% confident that the pull start assembly for this is here? Can anyone confirm?

I'll come back here with progress~

Welcome to the site...You do appear to have a genuine GRC RSR.....Try midsouth minimoto for parts ID's.....

You can also PM a member named "Chrisi" and he might be able to help you out alot faster than trying to find those parts in the states these days.....

Good Luck

Nice looking GRC, the part you showed is the right one, in the Pic I also miss the springs and start lever on the flywheel.

Good eye. I actually removed them so they don't get lost.

Thanks for the welcome guys! I hope to get this thing going soon. How long are the typical wait times from minimoto? If long...i might reach out to you Chrisi

Also- the engine says 316. is this the 6hp engine?

Depending on the crankhous intake, flat intake 4,2hp, intake with an angel is 6,2hp, code 316 should be a 3 port cylinder.

I tried to email Stoney a few weeks back, no luck, and he knows me. His phone off the website is 1-541-589-2795, I will try and call him cause I need parts too.

You guys really rock - thanks for the answers as im trying to get this thing rebuilt.

Can you guys confirm plug sizes for Polini?

NGK (3830) BR10EG
NGK (3230) BR9EG

These seem a bit long, don't feel right.

I use NGK B6HS and B9ES for the 6.2hp Polini cases..............

Polini spark plug is a little shorter than my C1 or BZM engines.

Yep you are correct and FYI if you cross referrence what the Champion N2C crosses over to in NGK and you'll see that the N2C has a broad range of #'s [151]that cross references with that single sparkplug and NGK B9ES is one of them.......

As far as the other plug [C55] I looked in my book and I use the NGK B6HS in my 910 Polini with 4.2 cases….

For the C55 cross Ive used the NGK B10EP from whats written dwn.....….I used to get those for a buck each at my local autoparts store...LOL

https://www.sparkplug-crossreference.com/convert/CHAMP_PN/N2C

The R after B in BR10EG means its a resistor sparkplug...…….

Unless youre running sensitive equipment on a racing machine its moot to use a resistor sparkplug...…...

If you are looking for performance you want to use non-resistor spark plugs.

A resistor is exactly what the word implies. When the spark crosses the point of resistance some of the spark energy is lost.

Non-resistor spark plugs deliver a more powerful spark.

Plastic welded the cracks in the tank then hit it with some marine epoxy.

Rebuilt the carb and took a look in the cylinder. It's ready to try to start.. just waiting on the pull start to come in.. I might try a drill start to see if it will run.

I would not try to start it with a drill, to many things can go wrong and Euro parts are expensive, $125 for a flywheel etc.

After a bit of tinkering with the starter and water pump, I was finally able to get the bike running. Thanks for all the help fellas!

The only thing I'm missing is the starter side foot bracket (impossible to find apparently) and the starter side bottom ferring. Any tips on where I might be able to source those?
