Hi everyone,

My name is Sven.
I'm from the netherlands.
Main reason why I registered here is to monitor how you guys in the US do everything in comparisson to us here in Europe.
I'm active in pocketbikes for 7 years now and also official importer for BMS and PBP/TechnoX/BZM products.

I'm driving a BMS Project 3 myself.
Has a 50cc BZM Factory engine with estimated 18HP on the rear wheel.

Well known with the european pocketbikes like BMS/GRC/DM/Blata

So hopefully I can learn from you and you can learn from me.

My apologies for my bad english sometimes.

Regards,
Sven

Welcome aboard, Nice Ride, someday I will own a Euro bike. Might sell a few of my China bikes and buy one, lol. I have a C1 50cc and working on an MT-A2 frame modded and lengthened w/ a hopped up 40cc Polini rep engine.
I miss my GRC......after a tedious rebuild that thing was a lil crazy to ride...I regret the day I traded it to my friend but I got the better of the deal I think.....He got a bike that was between 13/14hp for an 89 Mustang with a 336 stroker engine C4 trans w/rattling 3500 stallspeed converter,, blown 390 rear and busted windshield....

I got the GRC in trade for a fresh and totally rebuilt KX65 works bike with every option that costed me $1200 according to receipts..I got the KX65 for a Quadzilla500 that needed a total rebuilding on engine, frame and suspension...

I had the quadzilla since brand new,,the GRC costed me $650 to fix after it blew up from mad abuse on my part....It costed so much because I went with almost all Wiseco topend parts like cylinder sleeve, piston, rings, rod, pin, pin bearing,, and the Mustang costed me $1100 to fix.I did all the sleevework and such for the GRC at the raceshop I worked at.........I sold the 89 mustang for $6500.00 and the quadzilla costed my dad $4800.00...Id say that was a pretty even flip.....LOL

Thanks Nipples...I wish I still had my dyno too.....:(....It was a great machine and gave me hours of enjoyment aswell as some breakthroughs with the 110cc engines like the floatbowl restrictor tab........................

how when the brand new 2012 kawi 450 fuel injected is 55hp stock ~60 with a pipe... and a yz250 2 stroke is like 45 hp... and thats usually measured at the crank.

How can a 50 have half the hp of a 250cc? It cant have 1/2 the real power... so why or how can it have 1/2 the hp?

How............He asks how........Look at this thing...........137cc,,52hp,,133mph....

I was running this kart w/engine when I was 14....If you doubt it can have that much power go to a vintage karting forum like Berfelt Racing and ask them what a Komet IAME 137cc twin carbbed methanol/alchohol huffing race engine pumps out with a motul ignition and a tuned pipe.............My 70cc twin carbbed methanol huffing kart engine was pushing 27hp and the kart it came off of to 80-85mph......

You wanna see another head scratcher/mindbender..............Look up 1984 RM125..It had the highest hp that year out of all MX125cc's built.Stock it had 42hp with a heavy duty snowmobile type clutch/6speed transmission and ran 102mph all other 125's were barely belting out 34hp.LOL...
This ones wickedly modded with raceported head w/.040" overbore,,wiseco piston/hotrod crank,,much larger 1987 YZ125cc exhaust pipe,,Sudco 38mm openclass flatslide carb,,250cc coil,,MSD CDI,,Boyeseen reeds,,blueprinting and runs 121 on dirt........It doesnt have a conventional reedblock...The reeds are under the head requiring total cylinder disassembly to change the reeds.......

Nice racekart. I was asking how about the 50 lol

I wasnt doubting built 125cc 2 strokes or karts. 125s are fast. I'll look up the RM thats some power ha
Oh ok and Thanks,,, Ive had the kart almost 30 years,,Its just the 50cc engines you were doubting...I was basically showing ya that things arent always built and powered according to current size..........

Yes Euro 50cc engines can be juiced up too,,Even the 40cc Euro engines arent any slouches either.....The 20hp Phantom bikes are over $7000 and the GRC's are over $5000....Most of the cost is the engine

The biggest twin carbbed 49cc aircooled methanol/alchohol engine I have should be pushing between 11-13hp and revving to 16k when fully broken-in

Hi there,
Nice bike. I see you still have the older rear swing-arm.
You can (if you want) replace it by the same swing-arm as a P3.

Everyone else thank you for the reply's.

For the people that don't believe 50cc's can produce 18HP I will try to get a dyno run.
I've allreay seen dyno runs with a cranked up 50cc producing 21 HP on the rear wheel. It's all a matter of fine-tuning :).

regards,
Sven
