Hey guys my name is Dan I just picked up a black full fairing 49cc 2 stroke pocket bike today. I'm really excited it needs some TLC but runs like a top. Does anyone have advice on a great website to order parts? I'm gonna start stripping it down tomorrow and posting pics as I progress. Have a great night everyone.

Cam2 thanks for the tips, man I appreciate it!!! I need new sprockets and chain, any suggestions on what size front and back sprockets and what size chain? I plan on going through the entire bike. Also what about wheels do they make bigger ones so it will sit higher? Thanks again for the info!!!

Unfortunately the next biggest tire size is 8" from an X7 but they will take alot of modding to work...To get more ride height most put 1 1/2" wooden spacers under the body to raise it....

My 2011 Trophy cag snapped the seat hoop off in a crash so easy when I rebuilt it I also designed it 5 1/2" higher for a more comfortable ride.........

This is how it sat bone stock.......

Heres the carnage...The 2010/2011 steel isnt of any quality or of substantial thickness...I solid filled my frame with block-fil

This is with the rebuilt hoop and renewed height........

Heres how it sits now........

For your sprockets Id only change the 6 tooth front to a 7 until you mod it to get rid of the restrictors and to uncork the power or pull the topend and add a modded 49cc with a good perf exhaust..I have a stock 49cc head w/5 boost ports on my 2011 cag aswell as a bunch of mods..Im running 7/68 on it but I like the snappy power and quick takeoff it has......After that you could go to a 60 tooth rear......My Black Magic Cag is running 7/55.....

Welcome to site Dan. Nice looking full faring cag. I would read up on this site. Theres tons of stuff you can do with those bikes. CAM2 and EPR has some wicked CAG racers. So they know these bikes inside and out.

Re: chain and sprockets

so I should go with a 7 tooth front and a 68 tooth back with a 25" chain? Im ordering asap. Thanks for all the info guys!!!
When you go to buy the chain youre gonna need to know how many links there are in the chain....The cost of the chain is like $20 bux shipped or you can buy a 10ft roll of #25 chain and 3 masterlinks for the same money and have extra chain for future bikes..........beleive me if you dig this hobby there will be another............

How do I know how many links I will need? Can I use a tape measure to get an estimate? And is the 7/68 sprockets a good choice for this bike?
You count the teeth holes in the entire chain and thats how many links it is.............

7/68 is a good gear ratio that wont add too much lag on the takeoff...6/60 is hard to pull without basic mods and a lil more.....

but my problem is, is that i dont have a chain i bought it without one and im not gonna replace the chain and not replace the sprockets. Im used to dirtbikes so when I buy sprockets and chain for dirtbikes i usaully buy the kit with sprockets and chain combined, so im alittle lost bc i dont have an old chain to reference from.

I also want to order new twist throttle w/cable, and new brake levers w/cables, UFO air filter and a decent aftermarket pipe. i think i might as well ang go ahead and change most all the hardware, I need a chain guide and guard. plus it looks like the wheel or chain adjuster could be replaced and I a big crack in the seat faring.i would love to do one big order. let me know what you dudes think!!!
