How high is your idle set?? Your pilot jet could be dirty also, that's the #1 thing the makes the 4 stroke not start or run. Next to the main jet 2 brass 1 long the other short. Take them off and clean them.
Thanks EPR.. I will try that next.
The coil was bad. I replaced it and it fired up for about 3 seconds and quit now when I tried to kick start it kicked back a couple of times at the bottom of the stroke but still does not start.

Sounds like a blown stator ,,slipped wire or poor ground
On this junk, an electric problem highly likely. Can you test your stator wires, Cam2 has a post w/ photo's and instructions, it's done with an everyday voltage/amp meter. The stator wires should read around 400 to 500K Ohms of resistance I believe, just need to know which wires to test.

Pretty close EPR as a start...its 450-550..500 ohms is optimal.....

Thanks Cam2, I can never remember which wires to test.
