Here's a few pictures of my newest bike build.

The frame is a late 70's early 80's Ruttman.

Most of the parts a taken from a 49cc mini dirt bike, this is just a mock up so far.

EPR if I did the side car it would be for transporting beer from my place to a friends a few blocks over.

Jaloos, I do have a cooler on wheels & hooking it to the bike should not be a problem.

Dang cam, I like it, also add an ice chest down there with beer and (ice) route the intake air through the top of the cooler (intercooler?) and then through a small air drier (maybe) and you got one awesome cold beer air intake :D

but the oil all over the beer might not taste very good!

With all that extra frame height he can always make a 6 pack cooler seat and use that trailer to tow a buddy incapable of walking.lol
Now that sounds like a cool idea.

Nice old Ruttman .... I know a couple of guys have those bikes, pretty solid little runners. Are you going to power it with the pb engine, or go for a Briggs&Stratton or Honda clone? (Hot tip: if you do the trailer for hauling around your intoxicated buddies, the bigger engine and clutch means more torque for hauling power ...)

Thanks SpyGuy,I'm using a 49cc with trans from the pocket dirt bike that I picked up for $50.

No trailer or side car,Cam2 & EPR are just messing with me about it,it's all good though.

Make sure you throw a big bore kit on it ... you'll enjoy the extra power.

And I would do the sidecar or trailer bit, anyway, just to be different. I saw some guy cruising around one of the fairgrounds on a little minibike like that with a custom coffin sidecar ... wish I'd had a camera at the time.

Once it's together I can see how it handles with the stock motor & go from there.
Will talk to Sam if I'm going to do the big bore kit for sure.

A side car would be cool if I was going to swap meets or something, you never know I might make one some day.

Build update pictures.

I had to weld a piece of metal on the frame & a bracket for the back brake. I added a couple of pieces of wood under the seat so it sits a little higher.

I'm just waiting on my new triple trees to show up so I can mount the handlebars.

you can get it to go 40mph+ if you throw a 6.5hp honda clone on there with the right gearing :D that thing would rip!
