Find the people that make your stuff and e-mail or call them about if it works with gas and oil. RTV silicon can't stick to oily gas.

Ohh but it can work, fuel / oil safe! if you "Clean" it (whatever the part is) out good enough it's still sticking to the metal or whatever..

Just like painting...

Nothing wrong with JB weld.. been holding out great for my bike that i did the mod to about a year ago.. no problems at all so far and i examined it not to long ago and shes looking good as day 2... (had to dry first heh..)

Not sure what the chemical metal is, but you could always give it a shot. If it doesn't work, clean it out and use J-B WEld.
