I just got this pocket bike for cheap. As you can see it needs some work but I have no idea what it is, so I don't know what parts to get. If anyone knows what it is that would be awesome. I've been looking for days and I have only found 1 that looked like it but the person who was selling it didn't have the name/model of the bike posted. I know it say 48cm3 on the cylinder and e22 on the head. It's electric start only and is a full automatic as far as I know. It has dual exhaust (stock idk) . It's got a cable front brake and the back brake is a cable that runs to a master cylinder, so it half and half. Here's a link to a pic. http://s1299.beta.photobucket.com/user/cdznuts/media/IMAG0167.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1

It looks like about an X6 Mid Bike. China Honda clone engine, 50cc probably, some where marked 48, but were really 70cc just to get them into the country. Pocketbikeparts in Florida, online has tons of stuff. add a www. and .com on the end and have fun, lol.
Do you think its an older model? Is it a 2 stroke or 4 stroke? The x6 has different gauges, has a double singarm, this one is a single, and the footrest are on bracket that are attached under the seat. http://s1299.beta.photobucket.com/user/cdznuts/media/IMAG0170.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0
Your bike looks like a Giovanni style 4 stroker bike...Its gonna be either 50-70cc like EPR stated and it seems to be full auto.............
I looked at both the x6 and Giovanni but those still don't look the same. Plus everything I've read say those are 2 stroke, can you get them in both 2 and 4 stroke. Do you guys just think its an older model maybe. I just wanna make sure I get the right parts. Thanks cam I thought it was a 4 stroke. At this point it don't run its seems to have spark and compression. I tried to clean the carb. I took the bowl off and cleaned all the holes I seen plus soaked it in carb cleaner. But it still just seems like its not getting gas. My tanks screwed so the tank wasn't on it but I filled the line with gas. Any thoughts?? Thinking about a new bigger motor all together if I can't get this running for minimal $$$.
Ok so look up X9 4 stroke ...That bikes called an X18 Hornet Im pretty sure..............The stators arent very trustworthy and fail for no reason..........

Heres a sales brochure............. http://evosales.com/pd_f18.cfm
Thank you cam2 !! I'm pretty sure that's the bike. Now hopefully I can get it running lol. Definitely thinking it's a stator as I was looking at some of your earlier post and seen that it should be .450-.550 and this 1 tested at .398 . Is that still true for this 1? But my plug was not wet, so I was thinking the carb was not clean enough. Also plugs pretty black, with soot, but still has a bright white spark. Any thoughts??

Yes the test works on all horizontal 4 stroker engines......... .398 is too low and means the stator should be replaced........

Just because a plug sparks doesn mean the sparks good.....White spark is dead spark.......You want blue and blueish ellow but like I said the test tells the tale..........ebay is the cheapest place to get a new one....
Thanx for the help. I'm gonna get some parts ordered and hopefully get this puppy running.
Is there any mods I can do to this bike to get some more power? I'm gonna get a performance air filter for it. I've already removed the restrictor out of the carb. Any porting or anything like that?. Different cdi maybe?? Spark plug?
I got a blue finned hp CDI and orange hp Coil for $22 to my door on eBay, I have the sellers name if you want it. It starts alot easier with the new coil and the CDI lets the eng rev higher.
Sounds good is there a better plug than the stock to run with these mods. If you could I would like the name of the seller so I can look up those parts. Also if I put a performance air filter on would I need to put a jet kit in the carb. I found my carb but it doesn't really match the specs of any aftermarket one because mine has a 47mm bolt pattern and the aftermarket one are all 48mm. I'm sure I could make it fit if needed lol. Would the cdi work with a 125cc 4 stroke. I've really been considering the change over just so I know I can get parts, seeing how old this bike is and how hard parts are to find for it. Any thoughts?
We all use NGK, it's a 10mm long thread plug. A 7 or 8 heat range is good. I have so many different kinds.
The seller name for the coils on eBay motors is weihuaie $21.88 free shipping, fits 50cc - 125cc Honda clone engines.
All the carbs I have from 19mm to 27mm are 48mm centers.
Alright thanx for the help guys.

Got my new stator and upon testing it, it failed .333 ugh. It's a 2 coil 5 wire stator. Should it test at .450 - .550? Seems like a smaller stator like this would test different than an 8 coil or something along those lines.
Better talk to CAM2, thats a different stator than the 6 coil one.
