Looks real clean...nice work EPR
I was thinking about using Blue Ice gun blueing gel on the bracket. Or maybe even a whole frame gun blue, then you just wipe it down with oil, lol. If you do it right it would look Sick. Plus, I have to find an O ring drive belt that fits.

Go to Home Depot and in the plumbing section theres an o-ring called a UCRING for GE filtration units............I use them on my Polini
Good Call, I need to take a trip there. H/F Tools has $10 angle grinders and $12 digital calipers, and a SAE/Metric tap & die set $25 I think. For less than $50 a starter could get alot PB tools, lol. The stuff is from China, perfect for this junk, lol.

From what I can remember to blue a gun you need to take acid and bring it up to boiling temps,,dip the stuff for 10 mins then rinse off with a neutralizer...Blueing is an advanced rusting stage of the metal............Speaking of that I gotta make a setup to re-blue the barrel on a 42 BE .303 I have thats looking a lil rough...It has to be done outside with plenty of ventilation...
so can i ask what does that do and why also what dose it look like when its done?

What blueing???..It gives the metal a protective magnetite layer...........It looks the way it does from the boiling acid chemical treatment...The boiling acid is what makes the difference..

The guy at the gunshop tells me theres Cold Blueing too but the gun barrel still needs to be pre-heated.......he says its just as durable but im gonna stick to the old gunmaking ways especially on a period correct all numbers matching 42 BE .303..theyre not worth much but mine shoots dead on accurately so its value is worth alot more to me..
I have the cold blueing stuff for some old guns I was redoing.
