Are the standard B1 radiators closed units?

is it possible to remove the two side tanks the hoses plug into?

If you cant get into these radiators what the best way to get any old gunk/rust etc out of there like boiling them out etc? Ive flushed it several times the water is running clean much better than what come out the first time it was shocking what come out of that poor little radiator

Which metals is the radiators made from?

Which other types of radiators are compatible to use on a B1?

I always use Coffee machine cleaner or something like that.
And no the radiator is one piece.
You can use any radiator, they are all nearly the same size,but the original will fit at best.

Coffee machine cleaner sounds intresting. Is boiling it out a good idea or even bicarbonate and water solution?

Boiling will not do much, you will surely need a limescale remover.
Of the coolers sure fits any small example. BZM, GRC, Polini etc.
The big coolers should also be fitting, the B1 Chassi is not completely different than other bikes.
But the big coolers are very expensive.

Looks like somebody left it with water in there I would replace that thing. You'll never get all that crap out of there no matter what you do and it's just a matter of time before a little chunk breaks off and gets lodged in the water pump stoping it and then burns the whole engine up trust me on this trying to reuse radiators that have that sand crap coming out of them is definitely not even worth the trouble.

Last time I drove around all over town looking for a radiator shop that could clean those out everyone told me the same thing they don't do that anymore and it's cheaper just to replace the radiator.

You can try filling it up with gas letting it soak for a couple days then drain it out then fill it up with CLR let that sit for a couple days then flush the crap out of it with a garden hose that would be my last resort if you can't find a new one...
