Rear Foot brake conversion

Hey everyone, trying to gather my needed parts for completion of an X12 build.

Currently I have the rear hydro brakes controlled via hand lever, but Im wanting to convert it to foot brake, like the X18 has.

I'm assuming its a simple swap for new pedal, master cylinder, mount, hydro line to current caliper?

It could be but if the footpeg mounts are anything like the x22 its gonna be a lil harder...the key is making a bracket that holds the brake master and pedal then mounting it on the frame by welding it on.............

on my X18 stunter I made my own 1/4" steel bracket so the crappy aluminum one wouldnt break anymore.......

Its not pretty but it functions flawlessly..............

Great, thats do-able. Now whats the inner side of the rear brake pedal look like? Im thinking I may be able to get away with just getting the master...?

Hey guys how easy are brake pads to replace? I messed my rear brake, up by pullin the throttle and Holding the brake, keep in mind I don't have a front brake ..
You buy new pads and take the 2 bolts that hold the caliper, take it off, change the shoes and put it back. On my X18 The master piston was jammed all the way in, so the pads rubbed till they wore out. Also you need to countersink the holes in the disc and file the edges of the slots, your shoe will last longer.

Do I have to remove the brake cable?
Do I have to remove the brake cable?
........No...Just the two bolts that hold it to the frame or forks......dont lose the spring clip or aka pad spacer
PM box cleaned.

Back on topic, I'm looking into getting a foot brake setup off a dirt bike. I think the only issue might be dirt bike pedal is too long and straight and may contact the motor..?

For $55 dollars and shipping you can put front & rear hydraulic brakes, they bolt right up, comes complete. Pocketbikeparts in Florida.
