I grabbed an X-18 in pieces for next to nothing. It needs an engine and fairings. I'm a quite proficient mechanic, but pocketbikes are new to me. I'm looking to refurbish her and flip for a small profit. any advice would be appreciated. I'll post pics shortly. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the site...The cheapest engine is a 125cc engine on ebay for $279 shipped...Wiring harness for $30 if needed..As far as the bodykits youll not find one for less than $300 shipped..........The chinese bikes dont hold a value too well no matter how theyre modded because theyre chinese so finding another bodykit used would be the better way and even thats a witch hunt...I had pretty good luck getting an X1 bodykit to fit one of my projects.X7's are the X18's lil brother and bodykits from them will fit nicely with some modding.....I wish you luck on yours............

Youre in for quite a time.......get a 509 pc metric 8.8 hardware set and loctite for starters.......

Forget about making money on these bikes, its $700 for a new one, $200 to $300 for a real nice bike w/ lots of extras. It will take $400 or $500 to make it right with alot of work, that's without body parts, that's why we build Rat Bikes,lol. Welcome to the Nightmare,lol.
