Ok this may be a really stupid question, LOL but inquring mind wants to know....

I have a 1979 honda xl75 5spd engine, which i know will not fit my x18 because its a vertical cylinder....but, i love the 5spd trans.... Does anyone know if you can "trans"plant (pun intended) the 5 spd into a 4spd lifan/clone engine? I would love to have the 5 spd.....LOL

Nope i believe the gear stacks are long. Though in the past there have been people who have converted vertical motors into horizontal motors and vise versa. There 5speed trans kits but are very pricey. Research takegawa.
And you can put a horizontal motor in. You'll need a welder though.
