The rear footbrake on my R32 Viper (X15) activates way too late (have to bend your foot way down to make it grab - looking at the mechanism, there is a threaded plunger that goes into the brake cylinder. It must have had an adjuster on it at one point, probably plastic, that went brittle and fell off but not sure. Brake is really not useable without adjustment and these brakes are not like other dirt bikes in the way they adjust from what I've seen online. Hope someone can help on this.

It's the O rings / plunger in cylinder not compressing the fluid they get old and harden with age I know back in the day people were replacing them with a universal one though I'm not sure what that universal part is.

Or you have air in the line.

They are nearly impossible to bleed all of the air out without using a vacuum brake bleeder.

Good to know, will try to bleed first and then figure out the o-ring if it still needs it.

Checked the brake fluid level and its right up to the top of the cover but think that's normal or should it be down the the visible window area further down?
