From the solinod there's one big red wire to the starter motor and one to the battery positive with a smaller red wire to the fuse unit. The wire colors are on the diagram. B/R Is a black wire w/ red stripe, and so on.
I just purchased a used gs57 and believe it's the same as an x18, can you help me out with that wiring diagram? Would greatly appreciate it. Former owner has wires cut, used Home style wiring caps to hold some of them together and some that I can't seem to figure out where they go.

Thank you! Now I cant wait to get started on tearing it down so that I can re-wire it all completely.....the correct way. I will let you know when I get it running.
At PB Parts in Florida, online your can get an X18 full wiring harness for 20 to 25 dollars I believe.
im having a similar problem with my r32/ X15. previous owner cut apart the harness and blew up the engine. now there is a new engine with the old harness...how do i match up different colored wires that are chopped? and before i re-wire is there a possibility the CDI will not match the new motor? its pretty much standard 5 wire connection. Please help with any diagrams/ quick tips to get spark.

Here is a full wiring dia. for an X18, it will give you an idea of how many wires there are, there color and where they go. My 125cc ATV has the same CDI and voltage reg as my X18 and 110cc ZX1 dirt bike.

thanks guys that has helped a lot. my question now is about the voltage regulator, the wiring coming from that is cut and has Black, green, white, and yellow wires. is the voltage regulator needed anymore or can i get a new coil that regulates itself? sorry for sounding dumb :p
If you run a battery and lights you need one, so you don't over volt the system, CAM2 knows alot more than me about that stuff. The wiring bundle might a a few different colored wires. But if you hook them to the right place it will work good. Follow one wire at a time on your CDI, coil and you have a stator that makes electricity. Has 2 power wires from the stator to the CDI I believe, black / red stripe, and light blue or something, and blue w/ yellow stripe from the CDI to the coil the and a black ground wire.
I am having a similar issue with my x18. The previous owner cut wires and rewired them together. Now my only problem is trying to connect the tail light,I just bought a new one. Sorry new to installing/working a pocket bike.
On my X18 I bought an X7 rear light which looks the same, but the color of some of the wires and where they were in the white plug had to be moved to match my X18 pattern. You will find all the green ground wires back there solder together. You can pop the wires out of the plug and move them around. My tail light stays on all the time, haven't looked but think there is a short in the light switch on the bars.
Is there a way that I can just buy the wire connector to the tail light? Do I have to buy the whole wire harness?
Thanks, and could you tell me which colors connect. My tail light assembly colors are:1 blue,2 green, 1 y/g, 1 white, and 1 brown?
The connector is missing that I have to connect my tail light wire to. If that things more clear of my problem.
Click on the wiring diagram above and look at the wire colors there and see if they match yours. You can right click it and save it to Pictures in Windows7, or print it out. You can get them 5 prong white plugs sets for .50 cents each, and alot of other electrical stuff, tncscooters online.
I have my wire harness and I was ready to ride now my wire from the solenoid to the battery fried. Is there any where I can just buy a new red wire?
