X22 Fighter starting problem

hi everyone. i just bought an x22 a couple days ago. it was running fine. suddenly it wont start anymore. the starter was turning weakly and the hot wire was really hot and started to melt when i tried many times.then it stopped turning, and the starter solenoid started clicking so i thought the starter solenoid is bad, bought a new 1 and a new battery. replaced the hot wire connecting to the batter also, it still wont do nothing, but the clicking sound from the starter solenoid. checked everywhere for broken wire ect. if anyone knows the solutions plz help me. thank you very much. :mad:

you say you got a new battery is it the right size does it have enough amps turn the starter
Are the battery terminal tight

How about the grounds are they good a secure to the frame or starter typically the green wires are grounds

How is the wiring you mentioned it getting hot did any of them melt or break the wire internally and how are the ground wires from the motor to the frame and frame to battery

Also never continuously crank these just a few revolutions and then wait before you crank it again

Also you need to find out why it doesn't start is there no fuel is it dumping fuel and the motor is hydro locked from all the fuel that's why it's not cranking????
Are you getting spark ??
You need a new starter ........its gonna be the lowslung type...Yo remove the e-starter you need to remove the stator cover...Good Luck

I thought he said he replaced the starter and the battery w t f my bad lol ya I would do the starter
took the starter out a couple days ago and tested with meter. its dead. ordered a new starter. thanks for the help guys. by the way the x22 felt faster than x18, auto to auto. or maybe its just me.

that makes sense. and i want to upgrade the carb and exhaust but i cant find performance parts for it. its really hard to find performance parts for the x22

On my x22 I modded the engine with ported head,,stock exhaust mod,,wrapped the exhaust pipe with headder wrap,,added a homemade headbreather for it and added a 25mm carb from an ATC185 with 25mm intake,hp airfilter,,1/4 fuellines,,modded the fuel tank with 1/4" brass barb,,added a racing CDI,,supercoil,,swapped the 10w/40 for Amsoil 5w/20 and stuck in an Iriduim plug..I also static balanced the auto clutchpack.........It ran pretty good and strong after that........:cool:

As far as finding parts generalized for an X22;-Thats gonna be pretty hard and its a game of hit n miss with any x-bike mods.........Good Luck
If your looking for performance parts you can't look them up by searching for x22 parts you need to look for 110cc parts you can bolt on a 22mm Mikuni and can cut off the mufflers and get some slip on ones other than that it's gonna be all custom made exhaust
Cam also has a exhaust mod you can do to those mufflers as well I believe to make them flow better
well. i did 40mph on it and it felt like the front was about to break apart. very shaky and dangerous. even after i checked all the screws and bolts and redone the front shocks to handle better, but still. my older brother is a pro bike rider and yet he fell of the bike rolling on the road about 3 times like a potato. i dont feel like modding the crap out of it anymore because of the way it is.
Did you make sure the motor mount holes are not ovaled out and the bokts are tight

yeah all bolts are tight and the motor mounts holes are normal. even after we redone the front shocks. just got a little better but not as good. dont know if the dude i bought the bike from abused the heck outta it or thats how it was.

Without a whole frame remodel and swingarm fabrication the X22 is and will be a big POS...........!...Clean it up,,sell it and get an x15/18 or x19...Youll be glad you did..............



It looks like you can cruise it on the streets as a normal motorcycle but if you try you might DIE....



One of the weakest points on the x22 and the most important for keeping your legs on the pegs................I had to extra strengthen mine after one broke off on me when I was attempting to get up on the top of the trees and the seat to surf the bike down the block

u called it a deathtrap. ur so right for that. i still love the 2 stroke pocket bike better cause of the high rev engine and the sound of it. have u ever heard of or seen Honda nova dash 125cc 2 stroke water cooled b4 ? i loved this bike. well. ive been thinking about cleaning the x22 up, repaint it and then sell it to get a banshee or something. lol
