x5 49cc with cvt - kill switch question.

On my x5 the coil has 2 wires from it. Green and black one. It may be brown. The green wire shorted out. I'm wanting to know which wire can be used to be a kill switch. I'm also wanting to use the stock kill switch on the bike. I don't plan on using the electrics on the bike.

I think on the 2 wires, one to goes the key and one to the kill button, both ground the coil. Look at both wire and onr might be the return from the kill switch and is grounded at the coil.
Theres a starter button on your throttle and if youre not using the e-starter can use the two wires coming from the push button and hook them into the two wires coming from the coil to make a killswitch...

if you are using the e-starter the two wires go to the black and green coming from the keyswitch................
Cool. Ty for the help. My wife and I just finished sanding and painting yesterday. I started putting it back together today. I hope to have it done my Monday.
Almost finished with my x5. Using the started button as a kill switch worked out great. TY.

No problem .....Is that frame in your avatar the frame to your X5?...If so you dont have an x5 you most likely have an x3......

This is what an X5 looks like along with the bare frame next to it..........

Yeah that's my x5 as my avatar. Right side chain drive with the Cctv trans. That x3 in your picture doesn't look like my bike. Different body, exhaust, trans and chain drive. I have mine almost all together with most of the body parts on it. I'm missing the side plastics. I gotta work in my carb . It only runs when the choke is on and the throttle all the way open. Even then it wont stay running. I don't know what's up with it. It was running great yesterday.

Yeah you got a mis identified pocketbike...theres Boreem X5 Cateyes aswell so theres a likely chance that x5 got slapped on by a newbie 10-13 year old chinese kid....

That X3 is exactly the same as the X2 just with different plastics...The X1 shares the same frame but comes with 43cc engine,,poop pipe with no expansion chamber and chaindriven non-cvt transmission

X-5's come left hand chain drive ..............

Are you trying to make the starter button into a kill switch?
Here is a wiring diagram that should be close, follow the wires.
